My career:

I started working while in high school. I was a dishwasher then a fast food cook. After school, I started college and was working in banking at the same time. My stepfather died when I was about 19. This was one of the reasons I left college, although there were others. My brother and I helped with my mother in those early years after his death and my mother still lives with me to date. I enjoyed working in the bank. I started as a teller, then customer service rep, loan funder and work briefly for a mortgage company as a independent contractor.

In the early 1990s I had the desire to build my own home, although I'd had not construction experience!. I shared this with my family and we made a partnership with my mother and one other individual to build my own home. The deal was simple, I'd work full time building the home with equity from my mother's home, then selll it. Once we sold it, I was to build 2 more: one for me and one for the 3rd partner, who would pay the living expenses while I built. Then in the stream of construction the partner changed his mind and I was left with an unfinished house and no income. This didn't stop me. I worked nights to finish the house in the day, of course I didn't build the partner his home and thus had no reason to sell the first house.

If you'd like a home designed for you, contact me! My rates are reasonable. You can view more pictures of the house I designed and built by

While building I also looked into a long time desire of mine. I LOVE movies. I talked with a producer and ask how to get into the business. I followed her advice and was soon helping with shows on local cable. I was a camera person, floor coordinator, help with sound and lights and directed. It was awesome! Then I wrote, produced and directed two spec commercials for KFC and Exec. Produced a short: Broken. The entertainment industry also allowed me to honor my birth father's name: Tadin. My credits are listed as
Daniel Tadin. Most people that know me, don't know me by my birth father's name because I was known as Dan Galpin after my mother remarried. I was very young at the time.

The final flooring on the house was put on hold as I followed my this desire. I had founded
Tadin Films International Inc. (TFI) with the goal of producing CLEAN movies for the big screen! I went out to Los Angeles to meet and talk to those in the entertainment industry about my projects. After several negative experiences with those in the industry, I decided to focus on making it happen in NC and started a second company: Tadin Entertainment (TE). TE seeks investors, TFI seeks donations, both seek CLEAN Entertainment that families can enjoy TOGETHER.
Business Trip:

In L.A., I tried to raise funds for my films. I did two more spec commercials for either Pepsi or Coke, I filmed the commercial for both and I've tried to contact. Not easy to do, I'm waiting to hear form one, the other was not reachable.

While in LA I signed up to be on a reality show: the American Candidate. The winner received cash and will be a candidate for the President of the United States in 2004. I didn't make the cut for the show, but enjoyed the expericence.

I've dreamed of being President as many do, but never acted on that dream because I'm disgusted with decay of our the political system. I've been told in the past, I have some good ideas. This was a chance to at least express them. If the public wants to "hire" me, I'll do the job, but know this: I'm not going to dance around the issues and be a crowd pleaser. If you like want I stand for then vote me in. If not, that's fine with me, I enjoy making movies! I'm running for the 2008 election. You can viist my campaign by clicking on the link to the right.

Currently, back in NC, I've finished the house! My first film
Inside the Locket was released April 6, 2007 and is now available on DVD: . I'm looking for funding and distribution for a number of other projects.
I was born in, Wisconsin. I have a small family: My father still lives in Wisconsin. My brother lives in California and my mother Penny Fischer Galpin, an Interior Designer, lives with me since my stepfather's death in 1986.
Growing up:

I was raised in Northern California in a town most don't know by name, but was once the state capital of California: Benicia. I was there from third grade through high school and then lived between Benicia and Vallejo, the neighboring city, until moving to NC in 1994. Sadly, I became extremely shy do in part to my own stupidity and in part to my fellow classmates cruelty in grade school. I was over weight and they enjoyed making fun of me. I'd repaid them by tattling on them and they further repaid me by rejecting me. I became very quiet. An observer rather then partaker. By my final year in grade school I was reduced to tears. I remember sitting outside my class, with my back to the wall and my head in my lap. That old saying: "sticks and stones will break my bones, but names will never hurt me" is a TOTAL lie! I was destroyed and the rejection and my only brother didn't help as those with older brother's know.

I managed through middle school and high school with a few good friends, but never truly recovered from the shyness. I still suffer at times today as an adult, although I'm getting better! I think I was lucky in one way: I had only a few friends in school, but they were true and faithful. In observing others, I found they may have had everyone wanting to be friends with him, but they often lacked that close friend that loved them for who they really were.

Unfortunately due to my shyness, I didn't tell my fellow classmates about the GREATEST event of my life: I came to know Jesus Christ. I hope they will forgive me for not having the boldness to tell them about Christ. I hope they are all doing well too! May God reveal Himself to each of you!
